Dental Treatment Hungary
Is dental treatment in Hungary considered safe, and is it good quality?
There are ads online for dental tourism showing huge savings when one obtains dental treatment in Hungary and other European countries. I would like for information about this.
I lived in Hungary for many years and never had extensive dental work, just regular cleanings, fillings, polishing and the like, but I always found dental care to be excellent with modern equipment and professional attitudes. However, I paid premium prices for my dental care, though it was still a fraction of US prices for the same work.
Basically if you go to Dental Clinics that cater to foreigners (there are plenty of them), you’ll certainly get top quality work at a still very reasonable price. These clinics derive most of their income on foreigners, so they keep their standards high to maintain their reputation. Locals, except for the most wealthy, can’t afford the prices that these high-quality clinics charge.
As for Romania, you may find a similar situation as in Hungary, but I personally would be a little more hesitant to subject my mouth to Romanian dentists unless I had a personal recommendation from someone I knew and trusted.
